days are: Tuesday & Wednesday 12pm-4pm. 1st
& 3rd Sat. of every month 10am-12pm. You can also request an appointment for other days of the week by calling the shelter. Adoptions are $50 for dogs and $40 for cats. The $50 cost for dogs or puppies is a $25 adoption fee and $25 spay/neuter deposit. The $40 cost for cats or kittens is a $15 adoption fee and $25 spay/neuter deposit. After you provide documentation that your pet has been altered, we will refund the $25 deposit to you. Volunteers Volunteers
and Donations are greatly appreciated as well as needed. If you are
interested in volunteering, contact the animal shelter to pickup an
application. Volunteers can help by caring for our animals, such as,
walking, bathing, socializing, transporting and LOVING them! We can also
use help with general cleaning at the shelter such as cleaning kennels,
cages, laundry, floor and other surfaces. Help is also needed with
projects for improvements at our facility. Donations Donations are greatly appreciated and are what keeps our facility running. We accept donations for Dog Food/Puppy Chow, Cat Food/Kitten Chow, Leashes/Collars (any size), Laundry Detergent/Bleach, Cleaning Supplies: Pinesol, etc., Blankets/Towels, Pet Carrier-Plastic, Dog Boxes-Plastic, Brushes/Combs, Shampoo, Plastic Totes/Lids for storage
Monetary
donations are always helpful too, though it is best to ask what we need so
you can designate funds toward a specific cause. Call the Shelter Manager
for more information
At the Preston County Animal Shelter we believe all animals deserve
to be treated with dignity, care, compassion, as well as to be deserving
of a forever home.
Reduce pet population through a Spay/Neuter
program Prevent cruelty to animals. Promote respect and compassion for all animals
through education. Treat each animal that comes into our facility
as though it were our own. Provide animals with the attention and love
they deserve. Ensure animals at PCAS always have a clean and
safe environment. Use care, caution and discernment when
selecting homes for our animals.
Check

available. OUR LOCATION We are located off Rt. 26
in From From 1-68 in Bruceton, take
Rt. 26 South to Kingwood. At the stoplight proceed through the light.Stay
on 26 for .5 mile till you see the Preston High School Entrance, take the
left on to From Rt. 26 South
Fellowsville Area, take 26 North to Kingwood. At the Heldreth Motel
the entrance to the High School is on the right, you may see our sign from
