REMINDER: 2013 Real estate and personal property taxes are delinquent!

The files listed below are the 2013 DELINQUENT lists that have been
published in the Preston County newspapers. The Real Estate List is the one
that is to be published in October 2014. The personal property list is the
one that was published in June 2014.

The Tax Lien Sale for Real Estate is set for November 10, 2014. All
payments for 2013 Real Estate Taxes must be received in the Tax Office
by 5PM on November 7, 2014. If you have questions contact the Tax
Office: 304-329-0105 or 304-329-0106

2014 Real Estate and Personal Property tax tickets were mailed on July 14, 2014.
If you have not received a tax ticket, please contact the tax office at
304-329-0105 or 304-329-0106. Please remember that the 2014 tax bill should
reflect everything you owned on July 1, 2013. If there is a discrepency on your
tax ticket, please contact the Assessor's Office at 304-329-1220.

July 15 - first day to pay current year taxes
September 1 - First Half Discount End. Since Sept 1 is a holiday in 2014, the last
day to pay in office will be August 29. We accept postmark as time of payment.
October 1 - First Half Taxes are delinquent. Interest will begin accruing on First Half.
March 1 - Second Half Discount Ends
April 1 - Second Half Taxes are delinquent. Interest will being accruing on Second Half.
April 30 - Taxes remaining unpaid at close of business will be subject to publication
and additional fees will be charged.
